    Here's a shot I did some weeks ago at the local kindergarten.
    Natural light, flash off, handheld.

    She's waiting for recess-time at the door to the playground.

    I love it, but it needed about two stops more exposure and the bright area at camera right is distracting. The eye is drawn to the largest area of contrast in a photograph. If that area is not the subject you have lost the impact of the image.

    Thank you, Tally Ho, for your feedback. :D I can see what you say. Seems like I went a bit over the top with the contrast?

    Do you think this version works better?
