Wide-Angle zoom question?

Does anyone have experience with the Sigma 15-30 F3.5-4.5 EX lens?

I am trying to re-gain some wide angle on my dslr because the 1.5x crop factor really strangles my current film wide angle's.

I would really like to hear personal experience - thanks!!!

I don't have experience with that lens however I recently got a Sigma 20 mm Prime which I'm very happy with. Originally I thought I wanted a zoom however after using the 20mm I think I made the right choice. It has just the right amount of distorsion and it's pretty fast at f1.8. Of course I'm shooting film and you have a dslr so I would recommend trying it at a local shop first as there will be a difference in the crop factor. Hope this helps.


BTW if you do decide to buy it 47th street photo had the best price on this lens. I must have checked at least thirty sites before I found the best price there. it was 364.00.
