You'll get there. Just give it time and work hard to develop your eye. The best thing you can do is envisage and plan the shot ahead of time. Unless you're doing fashion photography, forget about "poses". Aim for natural gestures. If it looks and feels organic, your shots will have much more impact.

With kids you certainly have to work harder and faster, that's for sure lol
