i guess this is more personal than skills, but no matter how i photograph myself with self timer or have someone else do it i always have dead eyes. its very unflattering and no amount of camera skills can fix that. i smile, i turn to side i do everything and nothing is fixing it. any idea?
my aim is to take great photography with myself (the subject) in it most of the time to upload on blogs, social media, etc. I know i can mount it on tripod and then hit the remote or do a self timer but is there another easier way?

Hi all!
I got some film of mine developed at a lab and I've been seeing these weird shadow-y marks around the sprockets.
the lab uses Fuji chemistry and I shoot both Kodak and Fuji, weirdly enough I only see it on Kodak film.
Let me know if you have any ideas of what it could be!
