Does anyone know if #3 is possibly a young bumblebee that has not formed completely yet?

***Update: I received an email from the entomology dept. at Penn State and they said #3 is a Sculptured Resin Bee, also called Giant Resin Bee and Latin name is Megachile sculpturalis. They can be found all across the eastern US and as far west as Nebraska and Texas.
@Derrel And now we know the rest of the story!

I do not think the bug pictured in number three is a bumblebee.

There are many species of bees and be look-alikes and without knowing your specific location it would be difficult to guess what this insect might possibly be. But no I do not think it is a young bumblebee or any type of bumblebee

Thank you. I emailed the pic to the entomology dept at Penn State and hope to hear from them. Will update this thread when and if they reply.
Nice set! I like wet bath birdie the best just because and the #1 bee pic.
Thanks! I think my favorite is the second bee pic because of the head details.

I like the stink bug, it's probably what I will be reincarnated as. :biglaugh: Nice set Dean!

Awesome detail Dean. Great captures! :icon_salut: The second bumblebee looks as if he just came from a Star Wars audition.
