This is going to be picture heavy I think, I shot continuous in order to get a series or sequence for each group.

They do the same sort of thing here each summer. In the case of these images, I'm not a fan of the camera position. Something more from the side would have shown a lot more of the action.

Oh man, locating a good spot was challenging. Every time you thought you had a good spot, 20 people would walk up and stand in front of you. The foot traffic was insane!! I missed so much because of the 1000+ people that kept walking by...I'm not even exaggerating, it was non stop for hours. I was finally able to wonder down the lake and get some side shots though.

Ya, I find my self increasingly needing longer reach. I think I'm going to pick up a 70-300mm VR for misc events.

We just moved here a year ago, so I'm not sure if its held here annually or not.
