2nd Attempt @ Focus Stacking

This time with at IR remote! This time with a IR remote! There's anywhere from 2 to 8 frames @ F8. I like
the results MUCH better this time around. Magnification ran from 1:1 to 4:1.

I did figure out another problem I'm having. Trying to do this on carpet is creating problems. When I move I'm trasnferring movement to the tripod. I figured out half way through shooting that I had to wait for the movement to stop from my inducing movement into the tripod through the carpet. Also, when the A/C kicked on the blower fan started and that was enough to blow the plant around JUST ENOUGH to mess it up. I can't see how people do this out in the open with any wind of any kind.

Yep.. doing on carpet makes it difficult. So does air movement. I have only tried stacking outdoors once... you can see the ghosts caused by the wind, and I ran out of rail before reaching the back of the frame.

Are these insects alive as you do the focus stacking? I played around with focus stacking on flowers indoors, but I can't imagine an insect holding still long enough...
