Worked the exposure in camera and messed with sliders carefully, not to clip the whites. Hi school athlete, friend of family. I met up with him for the second shoot for his senior pictures. D3300, Sigma 17-50mm. Vistors locker room in his high school, whiteboard and white walls. SB600 speedlight with homemade soft box on an off camera flash bracket. TTL mode. Not sure if it's any good but the father loved it so that made me happy. Wasn't planned, just took advantage of the situation and what I have been studying. Thanks for the links @astroNikon !
