3 Birds From Today

They are all somewhat underexposed however the light was not your friend either. The goose and vulture had the light on top and the heron was backlighted. You could easily get some fill on them in post processing and I think it might be beneficial. Too much and they would look unnatural though, so don't go overboard.

The only other nit-pick is the cropped wing in the last one.

Nice and sharp though, you did great on that.

Ya when you point your camera skyward you are at the mercy of sun and shade. The Canada Goose was very dark in shadow and Ive lightened it up in processing as much as I can without overdoing it.

Yep. Been there, done that myself so I understand. Birds in flight are tough. The best results I've gotten have been by metering a gray card and then shooting in manual with about a half stop overexposure. It isn't perfect but it prevents meter errors from the sky and helps the bottom-side underexposure.

Yes, wow number 1! I feel like I can reach out and touch that goose. #2 I feel needs a sharper focus on the birds eye/head. It looks like maybe the camera focused on his body?
