I heard this freight train coming southbound today on what was once known as the Central Vermont Railroad line. I ran across a farm field and up over a berm to get in an advantageous position to take these shots. The power of this train speeding by me was quite amazing and I n early had my hat sucked off of my head as a result.

I like these! I’ve wanted some train photos for a Bday card for my Dad. There are tracks nearby. I guess I need to stake it out but I’m not sure they even go by every day. You’ve given me an idea.
