a couple things C&C

I have two pictures and would like C&C on both.

On this one I tried to make it appear dark and put the moon in. I am not sure if it looks like night time or not. Thoughts?

On the moon one is it because of the giant moon or or does it just not look dark?

On the second one is thise better?

The moon is WAY to big.

Your still placing the the tree and building dead center which just doesn't not work here. I tried cropping up but it's just taken from an odd angle to make it come out ok. Maybe if it was taken a little further to the right and down lower to the ground.

The other issue is the light is to harsh. You shot it in the middle of the day.

Also, remember that the moon in a shot like that probably IS the primary source of light, so the light in the rest of the scene should look as if it's like by the moon.

So if I were to shrink the moon what else would need to happen as in lighter darker or bluer.

For the moon, the light is coming from a high angle, but the moon which would be the source of the light is directly in front of you. The landscape would be back lit and shadows would be pointing toward you.

None of this makes sense for that shot.

That is because it was complete daylight. I turned the exposure way down and added blues. I took the old sky out and put moon picture. The moon was probably shot at or around 1/100 f7.1 iso100.

I agree. It was a quick experiment to see if I could pull it off.

Ah I see. You were playing with editing and got creative. Now that you know how it would look under different lighting conditions I think it would be a good place to play around with long exposures and possibly some light painting. Just a suggestion although I know that is a pretty big on taking.
