Nice shots.
#1 - Adjust the rotation, making it level.
#6 - Shame about that powerline, see if you can photoshop it out.
#8 - I really enjoy how you managed to frame the building using the tunnel, although I would crop a little off the bottom

Overall, the black and fade framing you are adding does do much for me. I see it as a distraction and cheapens the pictures a little. Although I can see where you are going with this, it's better to just present the pictures on a black background.
