I think a parasitic wasp found in an L Niger nest, The real size is 1.73 mm, magnification is 3.78

Ant I guess Lasius Niger at 3.08 magnification. The ant size is size is 2.3 mm, the aphid in its jaws 1.46 mm and the one in front of it 1.1 mm

Thank you they were all Canon 40 and Canon MPE65 - a cheap camera(now) and an expensive lens.

Thank you - the wasp apparently is a parasite of those aphids - not such a good photo - but far more interesting.
