A Few From The Lake

Shot these this morning while walking around Radnor Lake.

Wren Singing Before Breakfast ....

Canada Goose Reflection ...

Yellow-Rumped Warbler (originally and incorrectly labeled as a Golden Crowned Kinglet) ...

Prothonotary Warbler ...

Barred Owl (Hoot Owl) ...

The second Barred Owl shot was taken in "Mid-Hoot". There were two of them talking back and forth to each other. I thought they were mates but after a few minutes the Owl in the first photo took off and flew up to the same branch as the second one and the feathers flew for a few seconds until the second one decided to find a different tree in a different area to sit in. I guess they were both hooting the owl version of "My Corner", "Nope, MY corner", "Nope, MY corner!" It was a treat listening to them though.

Thanks! He was bouncing all over the place; tree to tree, branch to branch. I took a number of shots of him but that one was my favorite.

It's funny though, I started to crop that little bud off but for some reason I liked it and left it. I didn't even realize why I liked it until I read your post so thanks for explaining it to me

Thanks guys, much appreciated and glad you like them. It feels like today was the first day in weeks that I've seen blue sky there so it was really enjoyable to see brilliant, vivid colors for a change. No rain, no snow, no ice, no gray. Even the brown is finally starting to give way to green again.

I can relate! The first time I saw one there was a woman there who told me what it was and all I could say was, "A WHAT?" She had to say it slowly before I could absorb it
