The real size is 4.83 mm, magnification is 2.1. These are really common but I couldn't once find a tree they were going up - which would have made life a lot easier.

The real size is 10.86 mm, magnification is 1.0. Surprisingly I never see many hoverflies in Colombia - I see more here in 10 minutes in the sun than 2 hours there.
