It was 2016. My granddaughter said, "Let's go to the Grove; it will snow at 8pm and 9pm." The Grove is a high-end open mall near us in LA. We were intrigued by the precise weather report, especially since it called for snow in LA. We headed to the Grove, and sure enough, it started to snow at 8pm. The special effects folks were on the rooftops, and they were producing millions of tiny bubbles which looked like snow even as they drifted down past your nose. They hit the ground and evaporated almost immediately, leaving everything ready for the next snow storm at 9pm. Santa and the reindeer were real, of course.
