The Flora: Plants are where I feel comfortable, subject-wise. Probably because I'm a horticulture student.

Anyway, now that I've loaded it up with pictures...thoughts? Critiques? Suggestions?

There are a few good ones in the mix but also quite a few snapshots. Narrow it down next time. When you post more than 2 or 3 images people do not like to spend the time critiquing them. I will give you a basic rundown for each image and if you want me to clarify something or expand just tell me which image.

1) The specs of pollen distract me a bit and I would like the center part of the flower to be entirely in the image (you clipped the top of it just slightly)

2) I like the shadows and textures on this one

3) Not well composed IMO. It also lacks contrast and has a milky look to it

4) very nice

5) again very nice but maybe a tad too vibrant/ saturated.

6) needs fill light and I do not like the composition

7) snapshot- great for showing friends on facebook but I would not call it a photograph.

8) same as above. Nothing really great about this image and it is extremely noisy!
