Interesting lighting in this photo, like a forested tunnel.

Im so glad you like it and Thank you very much for taking the time to comment. Anyone else?

Is he walking towards the camera or away from it?

I would have tried to take the photo right as your friend was turning at the "apex" of that farther curve (2nd curve turning right if he's walking away, 1st curve turning left if he's walking towards you). That positioning within the composition would have prevented his silhouette from getting "lost" in the trees and would have created a much clearer focal point.

I really like the idea though

Thank you so much, he was a stranger, I wanted him walking away and into the light, kind of like our walk though this world in to that tunnel of light at the end, he is not walking alone , he is walking with mans best friend, thank you for the input.

Thanks Charlie for you kind words and the validation, I'm glad you like it.

My opinion is that this is a really close miss. What works well is... The light, the curve in the road, the silhouette. What's the miss? Well, I would think that if you had waited another 10 seconds or so for the dog to enter the lightbeam, you'd have had THE shot. The problem was that you knew the dog was there, but with the contrasty light, the dog's presence is not as clear to the viewer of the photo, and if both the dog and the person were in the beam of light, there would have been no doubt. That said, you visualized the image well - just the timing was a bit off.

Thank you very much, I have other views, the issue I had were people coming from the other direction you can almost see one if you look close. But thank you very much for the critique. I do think it would have made it better. It was timing really.
