Hi Everyone!
I'm new to photography and I took this picture of my dog a fews ago on my Olympus E-10. Please feel free to critique.

Good job on not blowing out the fur! So many people do that and it just ruins the image.

What a cutie!

And the lighting was a stroke of luck - or was it? ;-)

I tried cropping it (in secret - ah... given the game away now...) to put more emphasis on the dog itself but it turned out the sunlit top left corner actually added interest and light to the picture.

Generally, I'd suggest getting level with the dog and as close up as possible - those taken-from-above photos have a tendency to run-of-the-mill-ness... But I realise that it's not always possible (especially with pets and kids) or you might miss THE moment!
