Thanks mentos, the reflection was what I was really trying to capture. Then the pigeon turned up and I thought.... perfect

Yes. You are right. The pigeon surely adds to a photo that would otherwise ALSO have been interesting in how it includes the serenity (is that a word?) of the park, the calmness in it (does that word apply here well?), and the buildings of the city around it, suggesting a totally different sort of lifestyle (busy, hectic, many people, all that, you know?) - and then this pigeon. It really puts "the cream on top" as we would say in my language .
