A Poem: The Idea

Little mental therapy from today that I thought I would share :heart:



The Idea

It floats and fleets,
Bits and pieces, nothing complete,
Drifting in to tease,
Staying only long enough for a glance,
Before it is gone again.

Not long to wait for another,
Caressing for only a short intimate moment,
Before it is gone again,
But not forever,
It will be back.

I want to catch it,
Hold it and caress it back,
Gently twist and turn it,
Examine it's infinite beauty, infinite possibility,
But it floats and fleets away,
Only to visit again for a precious moment.

I yearn to be able to pluck it from my brain and show you,
For now, they float and fleet just out of my reach.

I have dabbled a little myself. Nothing a real writer would find interesting. I didn't use a pen though, I typed mine. 👅
