They appear to be quite blurry and over saturated in my opinion. The subject is also centered.

I'm with Tyler on this one. Both pictures are way out of focus, DOF is way too great, and the Roses are practically dead center in each picture.

To be honest, what really concerns me is that you didn't notice that the roses were out of focus, or was that your intent?

If I'm not mistaken, every picture she has posted is blurry and oof. I'm guessing she either likes blurry pictures, or doesn't know the difference. *shrugs*

What confuses me is that the background leaves are basically in focus, or more in focus then the Roses. The Roses are just about dead center. Just using Auto focus should have the Roses in focus along with the background right behind them. Yet, they're not. It's like she conscientiously blurred the Roses.

It does look intentional to me as well. Some folks like that kind of thing I guess. I don't.

So, OP: What are YOUR thoughts about these photos? What do you like about them? What do you dislike? Is the blurriness something you are TRYING to achieve? Did you up the saturation in post?

It really LOOKS like the blur has been added in post, so you must think think it adds something to the photo. For me, it does not.

Also--whereabouts in TN?

Lol....rosebud I think this thread needs to merge with bitters thread.

Sorry, not working for me, the split subject the poor focus (intentional or not) just doesn't do anything for my taste.

I'm wondering if her thought process was to over saturate, then blurr the Roses in an effort to soften the over saturation. Just makes little to no sense to me.

But since she only has posted 8 times in 8 months,I don't think we'll get a reply to our questions anytime soon.

Me either. I was trying to inquire without offending, but she really offered up little as to here thoughts of it or behind it.

I'm pretty curious too, to be honest, and I agree.. 8 posts in 8 months probably means she wont enlighten us :(
