technically speaking, the second one is much better, noise is better controlled.

you should try playing around with effects such as vignetting and selective coloring to draw the viewer's eyes to the red rose

Are you serious?

I agree that the second one looks better due to less noise. Looking at the EXIF data though shows the ISO of the first pic at 400 and second pic at 1,000. I would have expected the opposite.
Is it a deep pink rose? (it appears so on both of my monitors but since chaosrealm said red, I must question it)

Study elements of composition and design.

Looking straight down on a flower is rarely interesting, mostly because this is how we can all see flowers.

Yes it is deep pink. With the way the bushes are this was my best shot at one I will try again later today and get another angle, no wind so I don't have to worry about it blowing around. I'm sure that is due to lack of better lens I get the blur??? Is that right? Probably does lack interest to most but I like it that is good compared to what I have done with flowers. ;) Going to try some photos with my friend so we will see how that goes.

Yeah I did notice the noise but not until you said it. I see how the 2nd one is much better on that. I was just wanting to make sure the photo looked good no matter the angle I was told to practice it due to my exposure problem the last time. So if I'm doing good on exposure I will have to try different angles. Thanks!!

Try to guide people in your post as to what you are looking for in response. There are no mind readers here.

Roses are red
Violets are blue
The colors are out of gamut
So try adjusting the hue (and saturation)

Ok, just went and tried some different angles my roses are pink not red.

Are these better or worse??

That wasn't my point. My point is, your "pink" roses, look "red" because of the hue/saturation.

They seem to be the same color on my screen as outside. I must not understand how to fix that I'll go back to my books and see. The last two I had the wb set wrong.
