Happy new year all.

Well once the excitement had dithered slightly after midnight last night my niece decided to have a nap. This of-course gave me an opportunity to take a few shots of her in a natural peaceful state.

Photos were in a dimly lit living room which is why they are at F2.8 and ISO6400. As long as you are not pixel peeping the result is still very clean (this FF business is great ain't it ;-)). Having read on here yesterday about the Gorman-Holbert method from another user (cant remember who it was now but thanks!) I thought I would give it a try seeing as a lot of my photos end up being B&W. In short I think the results are much better than simply reducing Saturation to 0 and playing around with levels and contrast.

C&C welcome :-)

BTW: Any time you mention something that is a work (art or otherwise) you should give a little bit of the background behind it.

In this case, Mr. Google came up with this:

Gorman-Holbert Conversion Method

Just the source I used :-), thanks for the feedback
