A snail on a rose

I am guessing the 2nd one was when someone couldn't resist but stroke the snail. And then it regained confidence.

I wonder what that snail is doing RIGHT......NOW!

PS. Your snails look different - they are somewhat paler.

What you need is a climate like Scotland's and then your foot will be greeted with them every day. I like snails but they really aren't going to evolve into an elephantine species if they eat, sleep and live on pavements (That's 'sidewalks' to you over in the USA).

I took some pictures of a snail the other day. Unfortunately it didn't climb on a rose or anything but I was just trying out the macro on my 70-210 mm. One sec I'll upload them.

I am sorry but I must share Spike's complaint: this one's a carnation. Not a rose :greenpbl:

They are nice and crisp and I like the red of that CARNATION (! ), and - of course! - I like "Gary" . Meow.
