A Trek across Utah ...

Spent a week in an 18' travel trailer, covering over 1600 miles beginning in Idaho, travelling to Wendover, to Moab, to Escalante, and back again..

We may have passed each other on the freeway while you were out and about. I hope I didn't cut you off on the freeway or anything. ;-)

I was down in Arches for a speedy drive-down with in-town guests, hike around, shoot a few shots, and drive back in a single day. it was cloudy and not enough time for good shots. I really like what you came away with. I like the sun lighting up the arch in #1 and I really like #3 overall.

When I got to Moab, I was surprised to find it resembled Palm Springs on Spring Break !!! - Would have taken more shots at Arches, but if I stopped, I'd have this guys hood ornament in my
trunk!! - Rapidly moved to Escalante for better shots, but not always better weather! Out of a week, I had about 3 days of good photography weather.. glad you like the shots..

Isn't southern Utah f-ing awesome? The area between Escalante and Torrey is the most spectacular scenery I've seen on the planet...

Headed to Torrey for a few days in late July (uggh for the hot weather it will be). Planning to go out every morning/evening to shoot, and then do the family reunion stuff during the day.

Spent the night in an RV Park in Torrey - Beautiful pasture with horses right outside of my trailer............. Hamburger place there that made one of the best burgers I've ever had !! Pulling that trailer over the 9600' pass was rather exciting the next morning, but the sights and deer made it worthwhile !

And I checked the weather report before I left ...... I guess "Partly Cloudy" in Utah means torrential downpour and lightening/thunder !! OH, and unless you were driving an 18 wheeler, you didn't cut me off .... I had a few choice words for HIM, but all in all, and 1600 miles later, it was an uneventful drive.
