A wasp and a spider(2F)

Critique please

The spider has really bad light, wasn't sure whether to add it to the thread or not.

Had some trouble posting the small photos with a link to the larger photos...

I like the wasp! DoF is nice and so is the lighting (cloudy day?). Framing bothers me a bit for some reason. I keep thinking the wasp's face should be higher in the frame because of its apparent alertness and the fact there isn't anything interesting keeping it down there. Others might disagree though. Overall I think it's a nice shot!

With the spider, I think for such shallow DoF to work in a case like that a tighter crop to the face is needed, but it's in shadow so there isn't much detail there (don't know if you can pull that out or not). The background is also blown out in many places. It's an interesting pose though.

The wasp was shot on a sunny day, but it was taken in the shade, I got some more shots at F/2 but the DOF was just too short, I then raised the ISO to 400 from 100 and stopped it down to F/8(if I remember correctly)

I'd like the DOF a bit bigger, but there was simply not enough light to stop it down much more(the only flash I have is built in)

The spider was shot on a cloudy day, shot at F/2 and ISO 100, it's a jumping spider, they don't sit still for long, so I wanted a faster shutter speed(1/800)

It also got some PP to raise contrast and brightness a little, I was trying to get the under exposed eyes to pop out a little more, didn't quite work
