Shot at a local private pond, to which I have permission to vist - spotted this male Great Crested Grebe, I was hoping he would be fishing, no suck luck :)

Very nice shot, these birds a very photogenic......
Agree Jeff- I caught one yesterday with a huge fish in his beak- I'll post later on or tomorrow

Nicely composed.

I see a few still tempted to center position their subjects. Not always the most asthetically pleasing way to present a shot, most of the time imo.

I try to stay away from centred shots when engaging wildlife :)

Yeah, you do, me too. I still see the naivety of the bang in the middle shots too often though. Just inexperience and lack of compositional understanding I suppose.
