Album Cover

Still not positive if we're gonna make this the one, but i figured i would post it anyways. A part of me wants more of face revealed but he really likes this one. I'm somewhat limited with 1 speedlight/reflectors but i did all i could with this shot. Any thoughts? Should the crop be a little tighter? BTW, there will be no text on the cover, **** ruins everything, imo.

I think on the background of the lighter you should be able to see more of his face outline. Just a bit to define the edges in the picture etc. There is a lot of detail lost it looks to me and it makes it kind of awkward. That's just me though. I would agree with a bit of a tighter crop.

I'm with gary on this one--this is not a good shot. It is in fact, a bad shot. Look at his lip-line...where are his lips? I could go on...shoulder area, brow, nose, this is a terrible silhouette. It would look just awful as a CD cover. There, I said what you need to hear.

It isn't a finished product, its really up in the air if i will use this picture. I don't really wanna use it, but he has the final say.

I have a couple other shots im thinking about, i guess i will post them up

Does anyone have any similar shots to this, but executed better?

From a commercial / marketing point of view, this shot is in the recycle bin. Facial outline reminds me of The Grinch.

It's a picture of my friend danerro. We just wanted the text to be on the side of the CD. Thanks for the honest reaction on here though, im gonna try something different the next go round.

He wanted a picture, but he wanted it to be mysterious as possible. The album will be self titled, so that was the real reason behind no text.

Here are a couple better pictures of him, not for covers though. I'm honestly stumped for ideas right now, just trying to do something a little different for an album cover but failed miserably this go round.
