After building and selling a few pieces of furniture and selling a camera body, a flash and some accessories I have enough funds to purchase a d700. The challenge is now to find one at a reasonable price. I don't need it right now and I can wait for supply to normalize.

If I also manage to sell my 17-55 f2.8 AFS I'll be able to get a 6 inch short tube refractor I've been eyeing or maybe a MallinCam and a monitor.

So you buying a D700, but selling a lens? You have others I take it?

My d700 was delivered this last Wednesday. I sold two d200's, a grip, one of two sb800's and some furniture I made. I already have a good complement of full frame lenses. I still want to sell a Nikkor 17-55 f2.8 AFS DX. (I kept a d70 and a 18-70 kit lens and sb600 as a light weight kit).

I'm really happy with the d700 but I'm still working my way through the owner's manual.
