I don't think the bricks are too dark but I think the leaves are getting in the way.

I think both versions are OK, the difference is minimal and not really important for the meaning of the picture.

That crop is PRECISELY what I was trying to describe in the other thread you postd with the overall picture. I really like this one. Emphasizes the corner he got himself into, and the bad decisions on spacing his message. Super!

Thanks for the input and feedback. After reading the comments on the initial photo and mulling things over a bit, I decided to go back and see if I could get something else out of it.
