cool silhouette and amazing colour... perhaps compose with rule of thirds with people and sun a little more to the right? I tried a crop below, not quite right but just a thought...

I was actually thinking that the middle third of the pic is where I wanted the action but I missed a wee bit.

I think I like the original crop better. Yeah, you could probably take away some of the negative space, but I prefer it in this photograph.

I know we (TPF collectively) always moans about people who can't offer anything more than "Nice pic!"

In terms of purely personal preference, I see the standing person apparently facing to the right of the image, and I would probably compose the image so that there's more space to the right, so that he has something to look onto. That would move the sun and its reflection to the left, probably close to the 1/3 vertical line. As it is, the space to the left of the sun isn't doing much, so trimming it a little probably won't hurt. But again, that would be my personal taste and preference.

Thanks all for the comments.

I did not know the people and they kept moving around (as people do) and I did not want to look like a stalker. As it was I got one funny look from the lady.

I wanted to go back to this spot this week but work got in the way and the weekend is not looking good either. More sunrises / sunsets will be posted, I just hope there will be more clouds.
