any advice on how to spice up photos?

usually, the subjects in the photos that i take are "just there." i have the sony alpha a100 and only the kit lens. i plan on beginning with only the kit lens and would love to move on to macro and telephoto [but that's til i master the basics].

how can i spice up the perspectives in my photos and really give still subjects some character? any helpful websites that can inform me on bettering the composition of a picture? i can't seem to tap much imagination and creativity into mine :[

um.. this is where you "3rd eye" comes into play..

you have to come out of yourself and look at things in different perspectives.

try unusual angles : sideways, on the ground, from the side.

do images that are not familar to you, maybe farm equipment, street signs...

your style is what gives your images their look.

2 photographers can photograph the same thing, and come out with two seperate awesome photo's..
