best buy has 16 gig SDHC cards for 20 dollars. seemed a few different places had cards on sale.

Amazon always starts early black friday...like right now. They have a Seagate 500GB external drive, 3.0 USB selling for $69.99. Original price is $119.99. 20 minutes left until the deal expires.

From the link, scroll to the right, I think it's the 5th or 6th item. I'm contemplating myself.

As far as acapacity, Teras are the way to go. But you don't think that's cheap for a SG with a cap of 500 gigs?

My tastes are too expensive for Black Friday deals. I doubt anything on offer will suit my desires for photography.

So no, 500GB for 69.99 is not a good price.

I just got a 2TB usb 3.0 from Staples for about 90-100 bucks. And it wasn't on sale.

Yeah, it's also about size. What the amazon(The SG I was talking about) special was the compact size, usb powered - fits in your pocket kinda deal. The WD that ROTA referenced has larger dimensions...however it's still pretty darn cheap since I last went shopping. Haven't bought storage in a while since we got the server.
