Any decent free noise reduction software?

I have a little bit of noise reduction available to me in aperture 3, but it's not great. I found I can push my ISO all the way to 6400 in JPEG without much noise, but when I shoot raw I can't go beyond 1600 even with aperture's noise reduction option. My budget right now is pretty much nonexistent, but I would really like to have some noise reduction software to improve my images that require it. Any suggestions? Or is aperture as good as it gets until I can scrape together some cash?


Edit: forgot to add that I run on a MAC, so no windows only programs please!

I am not aware of any free noise programs, but some are very cheap, most having 30 day trials. Photo director 4 comes free with "practical photography" magazine this month. I have not downloaded it but most software editing have the software sliders included

How do I find that? I saw they had one, but when I went to download it all that came up was he paid version.
