I'm heading to high mountains this summer and would love to get good images of the Milky Way in particular. I've done some experimenting with my Panasonic LX-7 in the past, but with very mediocre results, despite some very dark skies. To be fair, I haven't done much post-processing at all, and it sounds like shooting RAW makes a big difference, but I'm wondering if I'll ever get great results with such a small sensor (although I do have a f1.4 lens). I'm eyeing a used Fuji XE-3 right now with a f2 lens, and wondering whether the bigger sensor makes it worthwhile.
