After a 10 mile wander with my wife (where I am allowed one camera and one lens only - so I plumped for the A7RII and the 24 - 70 - though did sneak the 70 - 200 in there as was using my shoulder bag to carry a large bottle of water) we took a short drive to Keswick.

Castlerigg Stone Circle is one of the most photographed things in the Lake District, and there is generally quite a few people around to ruin any shot - a lady and her daughter were very considerate and hid behind one of the stones so I could take a few shots people free - something I thanked them both for after. There was patchy cloud which always helps a great deal:

Very nice, despite your wife's restrictions!

She released me from those once we had stopped walking together on the basis that I didn't happysnap for too long
