My reaction was...wth?! That said, I did just look at it for about 5 minutes. lol Very interesting!

I see what this is about, sure, and while it's not a photo it seems to be a derived work, so, OK.

The surrounding material doesn't seem to have anything to do with the news photo it's built around. I'm not seeing or feeling any connection or commentary or anything. This appears to be a depressing news photo pasted into some sort of painterly abstract photoshop production of no particular mood.
