I think the girl in #2 looks sad and lonely. Though sometimes with our captures we get the wrong mood. Was she sad?

she was sad, her little friend had run off to play with someone else. she looked so alone in a park full of kids on a sunny day. Thanks for the comments

very nicely done, these shots show the vulnerability and energy of kids....good choice b&w too. The second shot looks straight out of the 60's!

#2 is the best of this group, IMO #1 the composition is wrong, I like to see at less part of subject’s face

Roger----Thanks. I wondered if b&w was a good choice...glad I went with it.
Jeff----I was unsure about number 1 myself. I liked the angle but was unsure since it was a back shot.
