And this isn't even a quarter of them...they are all over in the trees and spread up the entire field.

Man! that's crazy!

By the way, did you bring an umbrella with you?

What kind are they?

Im not sure...they look like "black birds" they are smaller then a crow, but not as small as starlings.
They swarm in huge flocks...I got one around Halloween where they formed a witches hat....that was great timing. lol

The look like Grackles......& they are probably all getting togeather like that ready too Migrate.

These are not great photo's but they are both Grackles and redwinged black birds all gathering togeather to migrate. They were spread over acres and acres of field just a few weeks ago. I live on a Migratory route and see this alot in the fall and spring of many species of birds.

that must be what they are!
We also live on a migratory route...in fact I'm 17 miles away from the Bombay Hook wildlife refuge...it's a HUGE stop over for birds!
every year around Oct/Nov they start this swarming, but they stick around here in DE for almost 2 months before disappearing. Actually, they show up right when the farmers cut down the crops...like clockwork!

i would have sent my dog out with my camera taped to it with a remote release lol
