first time shooting automotive with a dslr, im use to the the P&S let me know what you think




 
You want to get down low (knees) and shoot with a wide angle lens.

Some of the best automotive images I have seen have been done with the Nikon 200 2.8 that costs 1/4 of the GDP of South Africa. But, a lot of it had to do with post processing and setting up the proper location more than the lens that was used.

OPs aren't bad, IMO, just seem like average shots similar to what I would accomplish.
 
A CPL filter will help with reflections in the cars windows.

IMO the quality and the direction of the light in the first 2 photos does not flatter the car.

IMO the car in post #2 has reflections too that distort and hide some of the lines of the car's body and of course the reflections in the car's window.
