Wonderful shot! It is the caterpillar of the Santa Ana Tussock Moth. Beautiful color!

Jeffashman thank you for the ID. I have only seen the adult Lophocampa griseidorsata so far so maybe will see adult L. annulosa soon.

Beautiful! Looks like a painful type of Asp caterpillar. Don't touch it!
