Azores Bullfinch - one of the rarest birds in Europe

I was lucky to get a fantastic bird guide for a day on Sao Miguel Island in the Azores. Although there are very few birds endemic to the Azores it is home to one of the rarest birds. The Azore Bullfinch, a true finch and rare and endangered, is only found in one small patch left of the native laurisilva forest located on Pico da Vara in Sao Miguel Island.
