it's good overall for a tight portrait. Seems oversharpened/noisy. Almost like you very slightly missed focus and then used sharpening to make up for it?

yea i sharpened it a tad, , didnt realize it looked too noticeable

oh and do you really think its noisy? I dont see any but i tried to fix it in photoshop anyway just now and nothing changes.

It doesn't look particularly noisy or oversharpened to me. Overall contrast might be pushed a little too hard, but that's just a matter of taste.

The main issue I see with this otherwise quite decent photograph is the missed focus. It seems to be slightly in front of the nearer eye, and it should be further back. Since the face is turned, you really want more depth of field to get both eyes in focus -- at least that is what is usually done for this portrait -- which would make it easier to get the focus looking right as an added bonus.

Well done, though! Nice light, an appealing portrait of an pretty and pleasant-looking woman.

yes I agree the left eye is wayy out of focus, but thats because i was at like f 1.8 ahah which is real bad but the lighting was actually pretty dim and as bright as it was going to get. My equiptment is cheeaaapp. Thanks though!

I think you hit the exposure spot on. Maybe pull back a little on the contrast, but just slightly. You don't want to muddy it up. It might not be razor sharp, but I see a nice portrait none the less.
