This is photojournalistic shot of the American Flag and Fireman's Axe hanging from the Snorkle Truck during a fireman's funeral. The mood I tried to capture is the complexity of sadness, mourning, pride and community.

While I like that you tried something different, personally it really doesn't work for me.

Too dark? I always liked high contrast but my professor balks at them. LOL

the contrast is so high that its virtually impossible to figure out what the image is of, without you telling us (other than the flag)

It really is too contrasty, I couldn't tell what it was at first.

IMO the logo is to way to big relative to the size of the photo and way to bright. In addition to making the logo quite a bit smaller, try reducing it's opacity by 25% to 50%.

Yeah, it was an action that I thought I would try: FAIL. LOL. Thanks for the input. And, yes, the logo will be at 50% opacity from now on, at least.
