I like the first shot okay, but in my opinion it could use some more contrast. It also looks like you pulled the highlights out without bringing the whites up - the sky is kind of an unnatural grey. May just be my monitor.
On the second shot, the side of the bridge splits this in to two separate images; the one on the left being the view through the bridge, and the one on the right being the river. However, the right side, which takes up most of your photo, has nothing interesting in it, and the left side, which actually has some interest, is practically pushed out of the frame. A composition where the ratio of left side to right side was almost exactly opposite of what you shot might have been more pleasing.
