Extremely overdone skin editing. I'm a full time fashion portrait photographer and what I have learned is to edit the skin very delicately as little as possible so it appears as the models skin is totally unedited and just happens to have very good skin in real life. Just remove strong blemishes and do some super super soft skin cloning if need be. Images that are relateable to the everyday person is what people and clients want to see. Less is more

Not to get off topic, but I would disagree with this statement. If they wanted the images to be relatable to the everyday person, the models wouldn't be size 0, and you it wouldn't be such a big deal when a plus size model made it into the SI Swimsuit edition.

Never once did I relate it to body size. Let's stay ON topic regarding to the image posted. I'm talking about the skin retouching. You can't relate to a plastic skin doll. It is very much becoming popular nowadays doing minimal retouching. Just have a look on tumblr and instagram and you'll see where this trend comes from, and it's a good thing.
