I only wish I had a macro lens for my S3.

canon s3 has a macro mode and if you hold it down it has a super macro mode.. you can touch the subject to the lens and still focus it in.

Yes, but with the macro lens add-on I don't have to get really close to the subject and make it fly away. I just got lucky with this one.

Number 1 is good, the bee is in focus, the background is good, and I love how the stem gradually gets out of focus. Nice.

The flowers look a little over-exposed on my monitor. See how a lot of the detail is lost in a blob of yellow?

Otherwise, #1 is nice and your focus is spot-on. I don't love the second one, since I'm a big "rule of thirds" person (aka: your subject is centered, which doesn't work for me), and your main subject (the insect) seems to be out of focus as well.

One more vote for 1 - with a bit of pp, it is too bright as it is right now. The flower is not totally blown, I am sure the missing detail can be recovered.
