Minor point but they all look a HAIR underexposed to me.

#3 has some character.

#4 seemed like a good idea, but it falls a little flat for me. I think the representation is a little too static due to framing and the sky- while cool- is a bit dull for the shot.

Overall, they didn't strike me.

#3 is my favorite. The formal dress coupled with the informality of barefeet and carrying their sandals and umbrellas adds something beyond the cliche. It humanizes the subjects and makes them accessible. I also like shot #1 but feel the exposure is a bit off. The sheer enormity of the statuary is interesting, exotic, and has historical significance.

I agree with you 100% #4 was not a good shot... any idea in photography need some time to come up... sometime is not enough :-(

Agree with you... quite underexposed the #1
Just for the files #3 they are nouns! Sandals and shoes are not allowed inside the temple.

 they are nuns. 'Nouns' are parts of speech like verbs, adjectives, etc.

I liked Bago, went there on my way from KinPun to Nyaung Schwe. Visited the monastery to watch monks at lunch. went to Snake temple to see huge python, immense reclining Buddha - all the good stuff.
I love Myanmar.
Perhaps I will return.
