Dont you dare say RAPTOR again. I love ford but if you are really going to race in the baja you would be better off getting a chassis and then outfitting it to specs. Something tells me that production pre-runners won't ever beat a true trophy truck.

Especially Bj Baldwins truck. 30 inches of luscious suspension my god :-D


Fyi: Not trying to crash the party but if u were going to upgrade your raptor, the only stock part would maybe be the chassis and grill

Thanks for the comments guys... The second shot was the only time I got to shoot the bikes, they started at 11pm this year

Well ya, comparing a production pre-runner to a trophy truck is like comparing Apples to Oranges. I remember watching Ford's Born in Baja video where they ran a Raptor in the Baja 1000. It was cool but the trophy trucks ran circles around it. Anyhow, if I was serious about competing, as in winning, I would definitely build a truck from the ground up. As it stands, I would only do it with the idea of surviving and completing the course.

Anyhow, I don't have any plans for the Baja run. I originally bought my Raptor back when I lived in West Texas and worked in the oil field. It was a lot of fun flying through the air on the way to work Now days it's a bit over kill running around Dallas. The only time it's off road is taking our son on Boy Scout camping trips…that and hauling my Mountain Bikes to a trail.
